Our Approach
Learning Through Play and Everyday Experiences
-
That is why our clinical model emphasizes play-based, naturalistic, and developmentally appropriate learning.
Rather than relying primarily on repetitive activities, we create meaningful learning opportunities through:
Play
Daily routines
Social interaction
Communication
Movement
Community experiences
Naturally occurring activities
Our goal is to help children develop skills that are useful beyond a therapy session and can be applied across people, places, and everyday situations.
Individualized and Child-Centered
-
Each child’s program is developed based on their individual strengths, preferences, needs, developmental profile, family priorities, and treatment goals. We continually monitor progress and adjust services to support meaningful, measurable growth.
Family-Centered Care
-
Parent and caregiver coaching is a core part of our ABA program. We work collaboratively with families to help them understand treatment goals, reinforce skills during everyday routines, respond consistently to behavioral needs, and support progress outside of formal therapy sessions.
We listen to families, respect their experiences, and include their priorities throughout the treatment-planning process.
Community-Focused Support
-
We help children practice and generalize skills within the environments where they live, learn, play, and participate. When clinically appropriate and authorized, services may extend into homes and community settings to support greater independence and meaningful participation in everyday life.
Our Commitment to Your Family
Parent Training
At Faith Harbor Family Services, we understand that seeking services for your child can feel overwhelming. Our goal is to make the process welcoming, respectful, and understandable.
From your first inquiry through assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing services, our team will work with you to identify your child’s strengths, understand your family’s priorities, and develop a plan focused on meaningful progress.
We are committed to creating an environment where children feel supported, families feel heard, and every achievement is recognized.
Faith Harbor Family Services Therapy Program actively involves parents and caregivers throughout every stage of treatment from the initial assessment through discharge. We maintain open communication and a strong partnership between families and our clinical team because your involvement is essential to your child’s growth and continued success.
Led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), our caregiver training provides practical guidance and individualized strategies to help you manage challenges, reinforce positive behaviors, and support skill development at home and in everyday settings. Together, we help your child build meaningful skills that extend beyond therapy and promote greater independence.
